| Review: | The rod is very well made for it's intended purpose of landing big tuna. The blank , fittings and finish are of the highest order. The butt/handle section are the perfect lenght for casting and fighting a fish. The end of the butt has an Aluminium gimbal ,covered by a rubber cap. The tip ring is large enough to let leader knots through it without any drama of getting stuck. Although the rod is short, it's fine for casting heavy stick baits ( Carpenter Pandora) a long way. Its also good for working reasonably big poppers too. I fish mostly bluefin tuna ,but I'd be happy using this for cow yellowfin and big GT's too. To finish ,I'll say it's a powerful, top quality , big fish rod. |
