"Fuku-shiki" is a new type of fishing gear that combines the features of different tools: the snag resistance of a crankbait, the tangle resistance of a sinker, and the bite detection function of a float. Inspired by the snag resistance of crankbaits, a design was developed where the body, modeled after a lip, guards the sinker to avoid snags. The snag avoidance performance, particularly with lightweight sinkers of size 1 or below, is exceptional.

Additionally, even if a snag occurs, quickly releasing the line tension causes the buoyant body at the rear to rise and help dislodge the snag. However, this effect diminishes with heavier sinkers, making snags more likely. It is recommended to use the lightest sinker that can still reach the bottom.
