The legendary CB. Masamune is a center-balanced long jig developed for slow jigging, focusing on nearshore jigging. With a slender long body and a high appeal for horizontal presentation, it is designed with a uniform length of 185mm.
To enhance water cutting and achieve diverse actions, the body is made as thin as possible with a sharp edge, featuring long, narrow flat surfaces that are sensitive to water pressure. This design allows for tight action even with short and medium stroke slow jigs, thanks to its laser-edge back and flat shape.
It truly has the sharpness of a Japanese sword.

To confuse fish while slow jigging, when performing vertical actions with Go (ascent), Stop, and Fall (descent), make the Go phase slightly faster and longer. For Stop and Fall, adjust the rod tip to follow the jigs sinking speed within the jigs range of free movement.
Applying slight tension will cause the jig to sway diagonally and become easier to flutter if left in a free state. However, avoid creating excessive slack as it can lead to issues.
When operating with slide jerks (horizontal or diagonal pulls), extend the stroke of the Go (pull) phase and vary the falling time (distance) after the stop to gauge the fish’s reaction.
Slide jerking with tail-heavy jigs requires maintaining speed to keep the jig horizontal, but with center-balanced jigs, the jig remains horizontal even during slow operations, offering a broader range of suitable speeds to match fish activity.
